Red Rock Relay Race (lots of R's)

So here we are waiting for the race to begin starting at Brian Head. We ran through there and our first girl took off on the ski lift. So exciting and so cold! The only girl I knew at this time was Krista. 29 hours later was a different story. It was 7 when we left.

Each team had two vans to carry them around. This was everyone in my van. Krista and her twin Koni and then Wendy, Lisa and Angie. None of us had ran yet. I was the first to run from our van. The first run was down Cedar Canyon 6.7 miles. I did pretty good but was exhausted by the end. My next run was at night, I ran through LaVerkin to Hurricane 4.8 miles. I hated that run because it was kind of scary and I got a little lost and had to back track and then I problems with my head lamp and the cars were pushing you off the road but I still did okay. The last run was fun, it was Saturday morning from Gunlock to Veyo. It was only 4.2 miles. It was pretty hilly but I still did pretty good considering I only got an hour of sleep the whole night.

Here we are finished with the race, every time you finished one of your races you put a mark on your arm so this is a picture of us with our three marks on our arms. It was so fun!!! We finished in 29 hours. I had so much fun with these girls. They were so supportive and excellent runners. I learned a lot from them.

Our full team at the finish line. Don't we look all unified? Hot pink and black was our team colors. I will remember this experience for forever and I hope to run one of these again. I had a blast even though it was extremely hard for me. Go Punch Drunk Jello-legs!!

  2. Hey girl, I am so proud of you for doing that! How cool! We went to the western idaho fair, although we were over in blackfoot while the eastern idaho fair was going on. I found out erin had her baby about an hour after I passed burley (which I think is where they live) but my mom got to see her and lance and there little baby. It was good to see family over there! How ya doing, and yes, I bet your girls could have fit in their blessing dresses too!
